I have been thinking a lot lately about cutting my hair. It is currently a little below my shoulder blades which is the longest it has ever been. I have been going back and forth on whether to go for it or not for a few reasons. The first; I LOVE these hairstyles and I am pretty sure I want something like this done for the wedding.

However, I love my hair mid length, right above my shoulders. It takes less time to dry in the morning, doesn't get as tangled, and is so much lighter and easier to style.  I am loving Reese's latest cut:

Do you see the confliction??

Here are some more pretty images I have found over the past week;

I love the ribbon detail on the flowers.

Clutch from j.Crew

Wouldn't this be the best dress to head off to your honeymoon in?

I love this menu.

I am still trying to figure out how to do the back of our save the dates. I want them to correspond with our invitation, menus, escort cards, programs, etc. but I have no clue what I want for any of those yet so it is hard to decide on something for the save the dates.

Any suggestions for preppy/(and/or) nautical/(and/or) simple/(and/or) slightly modern, invitations/ programs/etc?  I am trying to stay away from the star fish and shells simply because i see them way too much. I'm thinking either a nantucket whale image, anchor, something to do with "tying the knot", or even just colors and layouts that give the preppy/nautical/ classic feel.

you could do a love knot, or a wheel, but i really like the compass. you could kind of do it abstractly and make it larger than your save the date, and off to one side...if that makes sense...

also, i know how you feel about the hair. i've switched from hair to my back, to short short short hair, back to hair to my back...so many times in the past 6 years. but i think i'm definitely going long for the wedding.

All of the hair styles are lovely - my favourite is the first image. Many a time have I got fed up of my just past the shoulders hair and constantly blow drying it etc, but then regretted chopping it - but you never know until you try!

I just found your blog - and I love it! I got married July 12th and absolutely love www.weddingpaperdivas.com ... They have a "Nautical Save the Date" (navy with an anchor) that is a little masculine for my taste, but they have tons of other great designs... I used these as my invites: www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_208.htm (Lime Grosgrain Invites)

Good luck planning!!

PS - Sorry about posting/deleting ... I am new at this!

Check out my bio. My cousin designed our invites for us. We got married in Harbor Springs, MI and we wanted classic, watefront, and preppy to be the running themes. We did have them letterpressed by Mercurio Brothers and it was expensive, but worth it (IMO). I love them and we have recieved tons of compliments. There is a pic in my planning bio (aeobows is my knottie name)- you can find me on the Grand Rapids and Chicago boards mostly. You can also email me if you have any questions (aeobows@hotmail.com)

Once I get my married bio up, I'll post again. Our little ring bearers outfit is close to the one you have posted. He looked adorable! Also, for the girls, check Strausburg Children. So classic! We got our dresses on a major discount at the end of last summer.

Also, LOVE the 2nd hair style!
